Elbow Outlets ( elbolet) allow for a branched pipe to extend an elbow run. Elbolet is one of the types of “Olets” branch fittings that are provided to various industries. MSS-SP 97 is the key specification covering reinforced branch fittings. And the common types are Weldolet, Threadolet, Latrolet, Sockolet, Nipolet, Sweepolet, etc.

1. What is a Elbolet?

Elbolet is a type of self-reinforced branch fitting. Elbolets are for 90°long/short radius elbows, typically used for thermowell and instrumentation installations. It is available in Threaded end, Socket type (Class 3000 and Class 6000), and Butt type end with Standard Weight, Extra Strong, and Double Extra Strong (Schedule 160).

Elbolets can be ordered for two pressure ratings ( class 3000 lbs and 6000 lbs)
Elbolets 2” and smaller fit all elbow sizes. Larger branch sizes are individually contoured to match elbow diameter.

Class 3000 – for use with Sch. 80 pipe.
Class 6000 – for use with Sch. 160 pipe.

7. How To Order Elbolet?

When you need to buy Elbolets and other branch fittings, please advise the following information:

Specify Elbolet Size (Branch & Header)
Header run pipe size (which is generally expressed as a range of possible sizes, for example, 36-22)
Branch pipe size (the NPS of the connecting pipe to the run pipe, for example, 6 inches)
Indicate Rating/Class or Schedule/Pipe Wall
Class 3000 or 6000 for Sock weld & threaded Elbolet, sch.80 or sch. 160 pipe for butt weld Elbolet
Select Material
Material Grade (example A105, A350 LF2, A182 F304)
